All of our counselors have worked in higher levels of care (with individuals who need a more supportive environment) at some time which means that they have experience with a multitude of behavioral health issues including all of the issues listed above as well as many others. We also staff cases as a treatment team (without sharing your personal information with each other) in a supervisory manner to help improve client care.
Can I choose which therapist I want to see?
We have several therapists with different experience and skillsets at Onward. As long as we have availability, we try to pair you with the therapist you request if you have a preference. If you do not have a specific preference, we match you with the therapist who has the experience best suited to your individualized needs.

Yes. In addition to individual counsleing, we also offer both couples counseling and family counseling to support your needs. Out counselors are all experienced and well versed in working with both groups, families and individuals.
Do you offer group therapy?
Onward Counseling is in the process of putting together outpatient groups and family counseling groups for mental health and substance abuse issues. Please inquire about the speicifics of these if you are interested in this.
What should I expect in therapy?
Clients should expect to have growth through their own work, and the ability to address sometimes difficult situations and material in order to advance from the good work done through therapeutic gains. Therapy is not meant to be comfortable all the time. it is the job of our staff to push you out of your comfort zones so that you can grow and have better, happeir lives. We ask that you be willing to do the work so that you can have the results you want. What you put into your sessions determines what you will get out of them.
